Idaho Gov. Brad Little put forth a 10-year, $2 billion plan to address Idaho’s aging, crumbling public school buildings during his State of the State address yesterday in Boise. Little and his aides said the proposal would represent the largest investment in school facilities in state history.

A large winter storm is heading into Magic Valley bringing blizzard like conditions and creating hazardous driving conditions for most everyone in the region. Winds of 35 to 55 miles an hour with the snow will bring visibility to below a quarter of a mile causing wind chills to plunge for the next several days.
One man is dead following a police involved shooting in Idaho Falls yesterday. Authorities say 29 year old Wyatt Landon was a passenger in a car that had been stopped by police when he started to run and shooting at police. They returned fire killing the suspect.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.12, which is 36 cents less than a month ago and 29 cents less than a year ago. The national average currently sits at $3.08 per gallon, just four cents cheaper than Idaho’s average, which ranks 16th in the country for most expensive fuel.

A fire in the attic of Texas Roadhouse in Idaho Falls yesterday caused extensive damage to the restaurant. The cost to repair is estimated to be around 200-thousand dollars. So far no cause but firefighters were called to the facility earlier due a fire in the fryer or the exhaust hood in the kitchen.
Bellevue resident Charles Holloway appeared in court yesterday where he pled guilty to second degree murder of his roommate Joshua Takacs. He also faced charges for assault and battery on law enforcement. He faces life in prison.
