Friday is the last day for Idahoans to enroll in health insurance policies for next year on Your Health Idaho, the state’s health exchange.  Your Health Idaho, which offers tax credits to Idahoans based on their income, will close its open enrollment period at midnight Dec. 15. More than 110,000 Idahoans are enrolled in 2024 insurance plans on the exchange.


Law Enforcement in Idaho along with the states U.S. Attorney’s office have released their newest campaign reminding all to be more cautious when opening emails, texts and popup windows from unknown sources.  Called the Don’t Click December, the officials say it’s a time where many are ordering gifts or expecting gifts to arrive.  Be wary of messages that claim there is a package that was undeliverable. 


New year new laws in Idaho.  The gem state will enact four new laws that came about in the last legislative session.  A new law removes student Identification cards from the list of approved documentation to register to vote.  The Clean slate act gives low level offenders a fresh start.  Loopholes are being closed in the Supplemental nutrition assistance program or SNAP.  The Vulnerable Child Protection Act bans minors from receiving gender transition hormones and surgeries statewide. This includes puberty blocker.


An inmate killed by another resident at the Idaho State Correctional Center on Sunday, has been identified by the Ada County Coroner's Office as 45-year-old Milo Warnock of Kuna.  Warnock died from multiple blunt force injuries and the death was ruled a homicide.


In Chubbuck a man and woman have each been charged with multiple felonies after police allegedly found them in possession of 426 fentanyl pills, 38 grams of heroin, 42.8 grams of cocaine and 6.7 grams of marijuana. 33 year old Jose Ignacio Silva and 34 year old Kira Lyn Uribe, 34, have each been charged with drug and weapon related felonies. If they are found guilty, each would face up to life in prison.
