Daring a preliminary hearing in court this past week, four detectives and the chief of police for Gooding County took the stand to testify about the murder investigation of Roger Driesel. Athena Miller asked her alleged nephew Nicholas James to shoot Roger, who was her boyfriend. Athena claimed that her reason was because Roger was being physically abusive.

A sign on the front of the theater said they were closed due to the need of digital equipment. The Burley Theater was also awarded a $100,000 grant as well.
Organizers with Idahoans for Open Primaries announced Wednesday the coalition has gathered more than 50,000 signatures as part of its effort to qualify a ballot initiative for the November 2024 general election. Their goal is 63,000 registered Idaho voters by May 1.
A decades-long battle over dams in the Columbia River Basin had a breakthrough as the Biden administration announced a deal with four tribes in the region that is meant to restore salmon and other fish runs while also looking at eventually breaching four of the dams. The settlement agreement calls for a 10-year pause in legal fighting that dates back to the 1990s.

As was anticipated, large numbers of fish mortalities were observed on the river within two days of the start of the mussel-killing treatment. Fish and Game staff handled approximately six to seven tons of dead fish over the two-week treatment.
