Jerome police say the homicide case that dates back to August 10, 1995 has finally been solved. 84 year old Wilma Mobley was found dead from strangulation and an ax attack. Now ISP lab technicians have found DNA profile matching Danny Lee Kennison on the victim’s underclothing. The case is closed as Kennison committed suicide in Filer in March of 2001.
Following the Colorado Supreme court ruling that former president Donald Trump cannot appear on the state ballot in 2024, the Idaho Republican party issued a statement condemning the move. The group said Yet again, leftists in the government are directly interfering with the electoral process to obstruct the people’s will.
Idaho has removed children from Medicaid faster than many other states which the federal government is not happy about. Earlier this year, states started to remove people from Medicaid after federal pandemic era-rules that kept people on Medicaid automatically expired. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra wrote in a letter to Idaho Gov. Brad Little that he was “deeply alarmed” that 56,580 fewer Idaho children were on CHIP or Medicaid as of the end of September, compared to when states started removing people from Medicaid this spring.
Idaho Fish and Game has lifted the hunting, fishing and trapping closures in the previously closed reach of the Snake River upstream of “broken bridge” at Yingst Grade to Pillar Falls. The closure was in response to the detection and treatment of the Snake River for quagga mussels and larvae earlier this year.
A former Idaho State Police trooper accused of murdering his wife more than two years ago has been released on a property bond, according to court records. 57 year old Daniel C. Howard, was arrested on April 21 in connection to the 2021 murder of his wife, Kendy Howard. He turned himself in after Kootenai County prosecutors obtained a warrant for his arrest.
