Chalk up another arrest warrant for former gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy.  He missed the first day of trial in his case against St. Luke’s which was set to start last Monday.  The trial would have focused on contempt of court charges by attorney’s representing the hospital.  Reports have it that he is no longer in Idaho. 


There were some tense moments in Idaho Falls Sunday.  Police say just after midnight they found a woman with visible injuries.  She told them that a man had battered her in her apartment.  She had gone to a neighbor to call for help.  Authorities ended up evacuating the building and detonated gas to force the suspect out.  He was identified as Robert Flores who had already been wanted for battery and burglary.


Police say a 46 year old Aberdeen man was killed Sunday just before noon when he crossed the center line on State Highway 39 in Bingham County.  His vehicle collided with a semi-truck.  The road was blocked for 5 and half hours.

A 30 year old Jerome man died Sunday afternoon in Lincoln County when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a power pole and rolled.  It happened at the intersection of 470 north and 375 west.   He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle where he succumb to his injuries.


Idaho’s unemployment rate went up a bit last month.  This, while the state’s labor force made gains from October to November.  Idaho’s adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.3% in November from 3.2% in October, while state’s labor force increased by 2,771 people to 973,924.


The Jerome school district hopes to help students, staff and families of the district with their mental health.  The district has partnered with Care Solace after receiving a grant from the Substance abuse and mental Health services administration.  Through the partnership, they will help connect the students, parents, and staff with a service provider that meets their needs.


Prosecutors in the quadruple murder trial of Bryan Kohberger have requested a summer trial.  The trial would last six weeks.  Kohberger faces the death penalty if found guilty in the murder of the U of I students.
