This morning authorities are continuing their investigation into an early morning hit and run accident in Twin Falls. Just after 1 am, police say two vehicles struck a person that was walking. Police say anyone who may have witnessed the incident in the area of Addison and Washington Street should contact them. One of the vehicles could be a light color 2000 Ford F 150 extended cab. No word yet on the condition of the injured person.
The defense attorney for Chad Daybell has filed a motion to request more time or that evidence he claims is new be omitted from trial. It’s expected that the trial will begin April 1st in Boise. Attorney John Prior said he needs time for experts to review findings the state has with new information from Arizona. Daybell is accused of killing JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan and his former wife.
Friday, police say a shooting in Caldwell has left a female injured. It happened around 10:30 and may have started as a road rage incident where a known gang member fired several shots into a car with two children and a young child. It happened near the intersection of Indiana and Ustick.
Idahoans could receive a state-issued voter guide for primary and general elections under a new bill headed to the Idaho Senate. Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane said it would require the Idaho secretary of state to prepare and distribute voter guides before primary and general elections. The bill would expand upon and replace a voter’s pamphlet already mailed to Idahoans.
The Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation is accepting volunteers for trail maintenance projects in Idaho and Montana forests between May and September. There are eight opportunities for volunteers to take part in projects spanning across the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness.
Baxter’s Dog Park located at 240 Shoup Ave. West is closed until further notice due to wet conditions causing turf damage. The city of Twin Falls said it will remain closed until the dirt dries out.
