The lawyers for Gerald Pizzuto Jr., who is on death row in Idaho, have filed a motion to find out about the drugs that would potentially be used in his execution. One of the questions previously asked if the drugs were obtained from a veterinary source.  Yesterday two appeals were brought to the Supreme Court.  The appeals claim the decision should be reconsidered primarily due to a concurrent U.S. Supreme Court appeal and concerns surrounding the fact his execution was imposed by a judge and not a jury.


Douglas Stuhlberg, a 52 year old Jerome County man is in custody after being charged with 10 counts of alleged sexual exploitation of a child.  He was arrested by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children unit.  Stuhlberg is charged with 10 counts.


Big D Builders, the company hired to build the 39,000-square-foot steel hangar for Jackson Jet Center, said the hanger collapse on Wednesday evening that killed three and injured nine others was a huge sorrow for their company.  In a statement they said they lost family members and valued employees who were close personal friends. We have also had colleagues experience significant injuries. They say they are working with OSHA and others to determine exactly why the structure failed and collapsed.


Boise state has been studying sewer water to predict COVID 19 hospitalizations and deaths before they’re even reported.  But after Idaho lawmakers rejected about $16 million from a pool of federal grant funds that would’ve supported pandemic response efforts last year, Idaho’s wastewater tracking dashboard is likely to have less data. Those who run the University of Idaho’s wastewater processing facility said parts of the state are going dark. 


Idaho gas prices are at their lowest level in nearly three years, but the recent trend of plummeting prices may soon come to an end.  According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $2.89, just a third of a penny less than a week ago, Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.15 per gallon, which is four cents more than a week ago. 


The Idaho state police are looking for a few good men and women.  25 to 30 to be exact.  Applications for all 6 districts in the state will be accepted until February 27 for trooper positions.
