Republicans across Idaho came together Saturday to decide on the republican presidential nominee.  As expected, former president Donald Trump was the clear choice.  The democrats will caucus on May 23rd.

Hundreds gathered yesterday for a memorial service for Marine Captain Benjamin Moulton.  He was among the 5 killed in a helicopter crash in California February 6.  Friends, family and Marines shared stories and memories of the Emmett Marine during the emotional service on Boise State's campus.

A 37 year old female from Twin Falls was injured in a car accident over the weekend that killed one person.  Police say an eastbound pickup was traveling between Boise and Mountain Home when the driver lost control.  The pickup rolled several times.  The driver a 38 year old Boise resident died.

Today, people are gathering in Boise to protest laws that they feel are anti-LGBTQ.  The event is called March forth.  Organizers say lawmakers have introduced 16 bills that target or would affect some in Idaho in a roundabout way.

The Twin Falls Sheriff’s office is warning residents of a phone scam that appear to originate from their office.  The caller claims the victim has missed Jury duty and a warrant has been issued for their arrest.  They demand money to avoid legal action.  Officials say they will never make calls of that nature. 

Members of the Idaho Legislature’s Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee are attempting to block the $51 million sale of Idaho Transportation Department’s flooded former State Street headquarters in Boise calling on the department to refurbish the building, not sell it.  The building contains Asbestos which was discovered after a pipe broke and flooding the facility.

The Idaho House Judiciary, Rules and Administration Committee essentially killed a bill that would have created a new $420 mandatory minimum fine for marijuana possession.  It was for anyone convicted of possessing less than 3 ounces of marijuana in Idaho.
