The bureau of Reclamation said the water in storage for the Upper Snake reservoirs is at 89-percent full.  The bureau said that’s about 120-percent of median for the date and over 1point three million acre feet more than a year ago. 

Owners of a dairy in Cassia County where some of the herd had been infected with a strain of bird flu are recuperating.  About eight cows on a Cassia County dairy farm got sick after the farm imported cattle from a Texas operation, where animals later tested positive for bird flu.

Idaho Education news is reporting that Heritage Academy Superintendent Christine Ivie’s defamation lawsuit against the Idaho Public Charter School Commission may have reached a settlement after more than four years.  Ivie filed a $500,000 defamation claim in 2019.  Ivie’s lawsuit alleges members of the charter commission defamed her by suggesting she applauded low test scores so her school would qualify for increased funding.

Residents in Twin Falls who receive pressurized irrigation water should have service soon after next Wednesday.  City officials say crews will be clearing and charging stations with all subdivisions by Wednesday May 1st. 

A new state law makes school and public libraries liable for lawsuits stemming from books deemed “harmful” for children.  Yesterday Gov. Brad Little signed House Bill 710, to restrict library material accessible to minors. Little vetoed a similar bill last year.  The Governor also signed a school facility trailer bill that will discourage districts from switching to 4 day school weeks.  He allowed the ITD budget bill to become law as well. 

The sale of the old ITD campus was nixed.  That’s sure to be a legal battle after a trio of developers was selected in September to redevelop the mostly vacant property into new businesses and thousands of new Boise homes.

Authorities believe they have located the remains of Dylan Rounds a Magic Valley resident in a remote area of Box Elder county in Utah.  Last March James Brenner was charged with murder in connection with the case.
