Governor Brad Little joined all of the nation's Republican governors in issuing a joint statement of support for the Jewish community today. All 27 Republican governors joined together to recognize May as Jewish-American Heritage Month.



A retired professional wrestler and former congressional candidate in Nevada and Texas has been indicted on a murder charge in the death of an Idaho man who suffered a head injury.  45 year old Daniel Rodimer has been charged in the death of 47 year old Christopher Tapp.  He had served more than 20 years in prison in Idaho in a 1996 killing before receiving an $11.7 million settlement in 2022 in a wrongful conviction lawsuit.



The U.S. House approved four bills focused on natural resources and land management Tuesday, promoting a Republican message of dissatisfaction with the Biden administration’s approach to conservation.  The four bills would force the withdrawal of a recent BLM rule that would allow leases for conservation, remove mining restrictions near Minnesota’s Boundary Waters, delist the gray wolf from the Endangered Species Act and block federal bans on lead ammunition.



Idaho home prices have remained relatively steady over the last couple of years but a new study shows we could be in for an increase in 2024 and into early 2025. Of the 13 Idaho cities that Zillow examined in its latest forecast, Mountain Home is predicted to have the most significant housing price increase. at 6.3%. Hailey and Pocatello second and  third.



If you travel in the Mini Cassia Area, know this, the ITD is closing the Heyburn on and off ramps today and westbound off ramp tomorrow.  The ramps should be open for the weekend.

Finding a job is harder in Idaho as openings have fallen to the lowest level in Three years.  The latest numbers show the unemployment rate was 3.3 percent unchanged since September of last year. 



The Idaho State Board of Education will hold a special Board meeting this morning, at 10:30.  The purpose of the meeting is to correct an error made during the Board’s April meeting when it approved Idaho State University’s request to offer a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice. Board staff will request that the Board grant a one-time waiver of the peer review requirement.
