For the first time since early February, Idaho drivers are seeing a welcome sight at the gas pump – prices that are cheaper than a week ago.  According to AAA, today’s average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.88, which is four cents cheaper than a week ago, but 11 cents more than a month ago and 13 cents more than a year ago.  The national average currently sits at $3.65 per gallon, which is about a penny less than a week ago, but six cents more than a month ago and 11 cents more than a year ago.



34 year old Quinn Michael Brockman of Libby Montana will spend up to 4 years in federal prison for possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl.  Brockman was pulled over in the Coeur d’Alene area while traveling through Idaho with over 216 grams of fentanyl pills that he had recently acquired in the Seattle area. 



Boise National Forest official’s project most developed campgrounds and rental cabins will be open by Memorial Day weekend.  Recreation staff are inspecting facilities, testing water, removing hazard trees and cleaning sites to ensure public safety at over 70 developed campgrounds in the forest,



Idaho’s Democratic Party stepping it up.  There are 87 Democratic legislative candidates running in the May primary, a drastic change in comparison to 45 in 2022 general election. This year, there is at least one Democratic candidate in all 35 legislative districts in Idaho.



Idaho state government agencies must ensure only 20% of their workforce is out of the office,  under a new policy limiting remote work implemented this spring.The Idaho Division of Human Resources on March 31 implemented a new policy limiting remote work, agency administrator Janelle White told the Idaho Capital Sun in an email.



If Hankins road is part of your commute tomorrow, you will need to make alternate plans.  Construction workers will be close Hankins Road South at the intersection of Hankins Road and Kimberly Road for one day. The closure will begin at 5 a.m. the road is expected to be reopened by the end of the day.  All vehicle traffic should detour to N 3300 E and Eldridge Avenue.
