The State High school football tournament kicked off yesterday. From the first round scoreboard, Dietrich defeated Council 50 to 28. Kimberly ousted Gooding 31 to 8 and it was Murtaugh defeating Lighthouse Christian with a score of 64 to 26.
On today’s state tournament high school football schedule, Carey travels to Grace. Buhl boards the bus to McCall Donnelly, Wendell goes to Bear Lake, Burley to Bishop Kelly, Mackay travels to Hagerman, Canyon Ridge and Hillcrest will meet at Thunder Stadium. Emmett will travel to Minico to take on the Spartans. Wood River travels east to play Snake River. Twin Falls will host Lakeland.
On Saturday, there is one game on the schedule. American Falls will board the bus to Timberlake.
