A 16-8 run from Boise State in the final 4:27 of the first half put the home team in control and heading to the lockerroom with a 15-point lead. Another four 3-pointers in the second half helped the Broncos to a 95-54 win over Northwestern State, last night at ExtraMile Arena. The win is the 19th-consecutive home victory for Boise State which ties the program record.
For the ladies of Boise state, Tatum Thompson scored a season-high 18 points off the bench while Elodie Lalotte added 14 points as Boise State downed Rocky Mountain College, 67-46, yesterday.
The 17th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team led by as many 23 points before beating Western Wyoming 73-60 yesterday in a non-conference game. CSI travels to Laramie County Saturday for its final game before break.
Mason Clements, who competed for the CSI Men's Rodeo Team in 2013-2014, is leading the average through four rounds at the National Finals Rodeo in Bareback Riding. Clements, who is from Draper, Utah, won round three with a score of 88.50 and tied for second in round four. He has moved up to number six in the World Standings as well. Entering the NFR, he was in 11th. There will be six more rounds for Clements to compete in at the NFR, with the event ending Dec. 16th.
From the scoreboard for Varsity basketball, first for the boys, Twin Falls defeated Burley 74 to 58. Canyon Ridge powered past Minico 58 to 51. It was Wood river 62 over Mountain Home 32. Rockland defeated Castleford 58 to 25 and it was a squeaker of a game where Wendell took the win over Filer 55 to 54.
For the girls, Murtaugh defeated Glenns erry 73 to 45. Oakley took the win over Raft River 53 to 41.
Taking a look at today’s high school varsity game schedule, first for boys’ basketball. Jerome will be on the road to Buhl. Dietrich heads to Glenns Ferry. Hagerman goes to Hansen. Camas County goes to Murtaugh. Oakley to Raft River and Valley to Rimrock.
For the girls, Filer goes to Gooding. Canyon Ridge heads to Jerome. Buhl to Kimberly,
Mountain Home travels to Minico and Twin Falls travels to Wood River.
