The 12th-seeded College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team beat 21st-seeded Connors State 79-58 yesterday to advance at the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Tournament.  CSI will now take on fifth-seeded Gult Coast State tomorrow at 2:15 p.m.


Tyler Vance had the hot bat at the plate in helping the Golden Eagles to a four-game sweep of Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday, earning him Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week.  CSI travels to USU Eastern Friday and Saturday for its next series.


After 35 non-conference games, the Idaho State Bengals open the 2024 Big Sky Conference

season this week taking on the Portland State Vikings.  The Bengals will play a single game Friday in Nampa, Idaho at Northwest Nazarene University starting at 10:00 AM.  Idaho State and Portland State will then play a doubleheader Saturday at Boise State University with first pitch at 6:00.


Nine Vandals are set to participate at Pro Day this morning at 8 a.m. at the Kibbie Dome.  Hayden Hatten leads the way for the Vandals after scoring a touchdown in limited action in the Hula Bowl. He holds numerous receiving records for the Vandals, including single-game, season and career touchdown records.  Hatten will be joined by fellow receiver Jermaine Jackson and tight end TJ Ivy as the offensive players competing in pro day.


From the high school baseball games yesterday, Centennial Nevada took Twin Falls Bruins 11 to 5 in Nevada.  It was Sugar Salem 7 Jerome 1.  Minico defeated Burley 11 to 8.  Cole Valley Christian School 9 over Wendell 6. 


For Softball, Cole Valley defeated Wendell 17 to 0 in 5 Innings.

As for today, High school games include for both Baseball and softball, Gooding traveling to Wendell.
