The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team finished out the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season with a win over North Idaho College Saturday and Kaylee Headrick earned her third Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor. Headrick recently set the all-time career rebounding record, moved to 602 with Saturday's game. The Golden Eagles have the week off before heading to Salt Lake CC next Friday for the Region 18 Tournament. CSI opens the tournament Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Southern Nevada.
The College of Southern Idaho swept the College of Southern Nevada last weekend and Golden Eagle Tessa Hokanson was a big reason why, earning her Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The sophomore infielder did not commit an error in the field at second base but also was the toughest out at the plate all weekend. CSI hosts 12th-ranked Salt Lake Friday and Saturday.
Nevada made 12, 3-pointers to defeat Boise State, 76-66, last night at ExtraMile Arena. The Broncos were led by a double-double from Tyson Degenhart – he finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds – but the Wolf Pack tied its season high for 3-pointers in a conference game. Boise State will close the regular season at San Diego State.
Boise State women's basketball fell to Colorado State in its regular season finale, 64-50, last night at Moby Arena. The Rams jumped out to an early 9-4 advantage, but Natalie Pasco scored five-straight points to spur an 8-0 Bronco run. Colorado State responded with seven consecutive points of its own to take a 16-12 lead after the first frame. Boise State will compete in the 2024 MW Basketball Championship at the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas. The first round begins on Sunday, March 10 with the championship taking place on Wednesday, March 13.
The Idaho State University Bengals women's tennis program will be on the road again this weekend as they travel to St. George, Utah to take on Utah Tech for the second time this season. ISU defeated Utah Tech in their last matchup on Feb. 10th, 7-0.
