Former CSI basketball assistant coach Ryan Lundgren said he is stepping down as Carroll Basketballs coach. This is after he led the Saints to a 19-12 record along with a 12-3 record in conference play. The team made the NAIA national tournament and finished in second in the frontier conference.
The seventh-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team took the win over Treasure Valley community college 9-1. In the second game, the eagles clawed back from five down to win game two 10-9. CSI, 37-11, hosts Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday.
From the local High school games yesterday, first from the baseball fields, Wood River defeated Jerome 13 to 3. Kimberly outlasted Gooding 8 to 3. It was Burley 9 Canyon Ridge 1. Buhl outlasted Wendell 4 to 1 in game one and game two, 8 to 2. Twin Falls for the win over Minico 4 to 2.
For softball from yesterday, in a double header Burley defeated Canyon Ridge 7 to 3 and 10 to 4. Twin Falls outlasted Minico 10 to 2. Kimberly shutout Gooding 8 to 0. It was Wood River 10 Jerome 9. Mountain Home 10 Filer 7.
On today’s baseball schedule, Lighthouse Christian visits Garden Valley. Glenns Ferry will host Vision Charter.
On the softball schedule, Wendell will host Buhl. Vision Charter will travel to Glenns Ferry.
