Sports 4/26/24




The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team won its fourth straight game with 10-3 and 11-1 wins over Colorado Northwestern yesterday.  The Golden Eagles are playing the series one day early to try and get ahead of a weather system coming into Colorado. CSI, now 26-21 overall and 9-14 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, take on CNCC again this morning for a doubleheader at 11 a.m.



From the high school baseball diamonds yesterday, Gooding downed Declo  10 to 8.  Jerome defeated Canyon Ridge in 5 innings 11 to 1.  Twin Falls took the win over Burley in 11 innings 12 to 8.  It was Fruitland 10 Kimberly 5.  Wendell outlasted Melba 8 to 3 in eight innings. 



In softball action, Filer took the win over Wendell 18 to 13.  It was Melba taking the win over Glenns Ferry 5 to 1.  Glenns Ferry took the win over the Melba J.V.’s in three innings 15 to 1.  Jerome for the win over Canyon  Ridge 14 to 4 in 5 innings.  Burley took the win in both games of a double header with Minico 11 to 4 in the first game and 10 to 7 in the second.  



On today’s local high school baseball schedule today, Wood River travels to Mountain Home,  Homedale visits Buhl, Canyon Ridge goes to Jerome.  Lighthouse Christian to Declo, Filer to Kimberly, Glenns Ferry to Rimrock and Burley to Minico.  Tomorrow, Gooding travels to Mountain Home,  Skyview visits Twin Falls and Gooding travels to Mountain Home.



For Softball games today, Mountain Home goes to Wood  River, Homedale visits Buhl, Filer to Kimberly, and Jerome to Canyon Ridge.  Tomorrow Gooding travels to Preston and Notus visits Glenns Ferry.
