The College of Southern Idaho announced that current CSI Assistant Athletic Director Daequon “DQ” Montreal has been selected as the college’s next Athletic Director. Montreal will officially begin his new role on July 1, upon the retirement of long-time CSI Athletic Director Joel Bate.  Montreal has a long history with the college. He was a standout basketball student-athlete at CSI from 2007-2009, before transferring to Boise State University where he competed for the Broncos from 2009-2011. Montreal then played professional basketball in the Australian Basketball League from 2011-2016, before returning to Twin Falls. In 2022, Montreal returned to CSI when he was hired as the Assistant Athletic Director.
