A nationwide search for a triple murder suspect tied to Idaho is over. 59 year old Jose Carmen Cardona was found in Modesto California. He faces three counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of child endangerment. He is charged with setting a mobile home on fire where a woman and two children were found dead June 25th. Stockton Police said an investigation determined the suspect set the trailer on fire while the victims were sleeping inside. He has family ties to Idaho.
Idaho is one step closer to narrowing down where to place federally-funded electric vehicle charging stations. Idaho officials announced this week potential locations for deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The goal is to establish a national interconnected network across the country with public charging stations every 50 miles. High priority locations locally include Bliss and Jerome.
The Bureau of Land Management will begin construction on the Mountain Home Single Engine Air Tanker Base at the Mountain Home Municipal Airport. The new base will expand aircraft availability to respond more quickly to fight wildland fires in southwestern Idaho and the surrounding area.
A woman has been arrested after attempting to complete a wire transfer using fraudulent identification. According to Caldwell Police, 57-year-old Patricia Sue Meyer of Texas was arrested on several felony charges after she had fraudulently withdrawn over $5000 from someone's account and later attempted to obtain debit cards from the same victim's account at a bank branch in Nampa. The woman then returned to the same bank in Caldwell and attempted to complete a wire transfer for $37,000.
Idaho Governor Brad Little is saying 91 hundred and 80 Idaho Students will receive awards through the Idaho Launch Program. It’s a program that offers graduating high school seniors grants covering 80% of the cost of college tuition or a training program that leads to an in-demand career for a total of $8,000.
