Water irrigators have completed a deal that saves 330,000 acres of Idaho farmland from being dried up. A mitigation agreement has now been signed by all parties and has been submitted to the Idaho Department of Water Resources for approval. When the deal is approved, IDWR will lift the curtailment for all nine ground water districts whose patrons irrigate with groundwater from the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer.
The Idaho Democratic Party State Convention is taking place this weekend. The Idaho Democratic Party State Convention is being held at the University of Idaho on Saturday and Sunday. There will be over 300 delegates from across the state that was elected at the Idaho Democratic Presidential Caucus that will join the Idaho Democratic State Central Committee.

A 42-million dollar expansion is underway at the Boise airport. Officials say the money is not from taxpayers as the airport is self-sufficient. The budget for the expansion will be distributed over the course of the next five years possibly six.
Police are keeping a close eye on another way for criminals to steal from victims. It’s called electronic pickpocketing. Suspects are able to obtain the embedded data from debit or credit cards and then quickly make an ATM withdrawal prior to the card being canceled. It happened in Idaho - Garden City’s Fred Meyer to be exact. Then the pickpockets moved to Walmart and again were able to steal the data necessary to make a withdrawal. Police are urging the public to be aware of their surroundings, as it only took seconds for these crimes to take place.
An Idaho hunter has been cleared of killing a grizzly bear after Idaho Fish and Game staff misidentified the animal as a black bear. The man was hunting near St. Maries, over a legal black bear bait site. The hunter captured video of a bear at the bait site two days before the incident. He sent that video to Fish and Game expressing his fear that he believed it could be a grizzly. Fish and Game staff mistakenly identified the animal as a black bear, and the hunter then shot the bear.
